JOB SUMMARY: 

There are two open Manager of Analytics positions with the same job responsibilities, each overseeing approximately 12 employees working in product teams (developers, senior developers, analysts, senior analysts). Ideal candidates will have experience with the entire data lifecycle, but applicants with extensive experience in some portion of the data industry will be considered, providing they have exposure to the entire lifecycle and meet other qualifications.

Within the Enterprise Analytics Department, this role is responsible for prioritizing data & analytics work with a team of analysts and report developers, balancing incoming requests with strategic and operational projects.The Manager of Analytics understands the complete data life cycle and has real-world experience supporting business outcomes using advanced data modeling, report development, data visualization, and analytical techniques. This role ensures data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and documenting optimal processes and procedures for analytics employees to follow. They are skilled at communicating with stakeholders from across the healthcare system and can lead people as well as strategies, applying their exhaustive knowledge of data analytics to solve problems and find opportunities for continuous improvement.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and build analytical processes to address business issues.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of analytic outputs and insights that analyze strategic initiatives, business functions and operational performance.
  • Recruit, train, develop and supervise analysts.
  • Manage and optimize processes for analytic output development and communication of deliverables.
  • Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and analytic standards to ensure organizational expectations.
  • Anticipate future demands of analytic initiatives and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
  • Organize and drive successful completion of analytic insight initiatives through effective management of analysts and effective collaboration with BI, data engineering and key stakeholders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's degree in Quantitative field or healthcare required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading an analytics team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to organizational growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business and/or clinical outcomes.
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, analysts and projects simultaneously.
